Introduction to Mushrooms class with Philadelphia Mycology Club & Primordia Mushroom Farm

Join us for a fun evening exploring all things fungi! Philly Myco Club’s Kevin Popowich will guides us through basic fungal anatomy, identifying features, and their ecological significance. Next, Matt Sicher, co-owner of Primordia Farm, will share about sustainable mushroom farming and the ways Primordia is working to reduce emissions and waste products. The evening will conclude with a Q & A for our speakers - and hopefully some fresh mushrooms available to purchase from Primordia!
40th Annual Darby Creek Watershed Cleanup at Skunk Hollow Park

Each spring since 1984, the DCVA hosts a watershed wide cleanup effort to remove trash, tires, etc. from 123 linear MILES of Darby Creek. We are proud to again serve as site captain for the Skunk Hollow cleanup efforts!
This is a family-friendly event! Volunteers of all ages encouraged. Gloves, waterproof shoes, and clothes that can get wet recommended.
